How to Reduce Anxiety With the Power of Elements

Elements exist in different cultures. You probably heard a lot about them. 

There are 5 elements in Feng Shui.  Ancient Chinese believed that energy of the elements is connected with success, health, relationships.  A civilization that invented things like the compass and paper, was developing this system as a part of their worldview and religion for centuries. 

They also believed the energy of our body consists of same five elements. 

 

The elements are Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood. 

 

Other Great ancient civilizations such as Ancient Greece, Egypt, Babylonia, Japan also believed in the power of elements. Although they have a little bit different system, the principle is the same. 

 

They had 5 elements: Water, Earth, Fire, Air, and Aether. 

 

Aphrodite was an ancient Greek Goddess of Love, Beauty, Pleasure, Procreation. She is still known as an image, archetype of a perfect woman who is too beautiful for words, strong and powerful, incredibly sexual and full of love that everyone dreams to have. 

 

Some Legends says that Aphrodite mastered a power of 4 elements, that's why she was so powerful.  And that the energy of the elements is what form true femininity, strength, and magnificence any woman can have by right of birth. 

 

It's not a secret that we as women completely forgot what our true power is. Working with many women I see that this is one of the big reasons for anxiety and depression. Sometimes you can dive really deep into exploring yourself, and I see many women who do that. They seem to know everything about psychology, they worked all childhood problems with a thoroughness of a surgeon. They have it all figured out. But they are still unhappy

It happens because on our path of growth sometimes we need to go to the basics. One of the greatest physicists Michael Faraday is the reason we see the world the way it is right now. He discovered such fundamental thing for human evolution as an electromagnetic field and this changed everything. But he had almost none formal education, so he couldn't do the math. He needed to go to the basics in spite of his amazing achievements so he could go even further. 

I see that it works similarly with an understanding of our nature. Why were you born in a female body? Why did your beautiful Soul choose this particular energy? What does it mean to be a female on the Planet...?

When a woman can connect with the power of elements she gains an incredible power. We are deeply connected with nature, women give birth and bring existence to the Universe.  Power of elements is natural for us, we just need to learn how to use it. 

 

Elements are also connected with our emotions and self-expression. If there is too much energy of the element in our energy system, we experience symptoms of imbalance. We have too much or not enough energy in particular chakras which affect our mood and well being

 

1. Water 

Chakra: Heart Chakra 

Element water is all about emotions and feelings, sensitivity, tenderness, sensibility, and responsiveness. 

It provokes fears, abstract thinking, the richness of an inner world. 

Sometimes when you feel too sensitive and overprotective, it means you need to balance this element. 

 Or when you start to experience a flood of scarcity, it might be a sign that your energy has too much water element. 

 

Symptoms of imbalance: 

Too much water:

  • Fears
  • Being over emotional
  • Mood swings
  • Passivity 
  • Depressiveness
  • Tension

Not enough: 

  • Overprotection
  • Indifference
  • Inability to enjoy 
  • Fear to show your emotions and feelings 
  • Rejection of emotions 
  • Irritation when others show any emotions or feelings

 

How to balance:

To reduce water:

Add elements that harmonize water.

1. Connect with Earth. Stand barefoot, ask your Soul for protection. 

Imagine how you breathe in crystal white or blue light from the center of the Earth. Breathe deeply. 

Take one more deep breath from above your head, through your body, down to the center of the Earth. 

Repeat 3-5 times.

2. Red and spicy stimulate the energy of fire. If you feel too emotional, try to add a little warmth to your rainy mood. 

Wear something red, even a small thing. Eat something spicy. 

It sounds like a very easy, inconspicuous steps. But sometimes small things matter much more than anything else. 

I practice it all the time. It works. 

Not just from energy, but from a psychological point of view. When we give our brain triggers, something we intentionally choose to refocus attention to, we start unconsciously perceive it as a powerful trigger that helps us not to pay attention to worries and have a calmer state

 

To add more of the energy of this element: 

1. Go swimming

2. Listen to the recordings of the ocean, sea waves or rain before sleep 

3. Calm music activates emotions and water element

4. If you meditate include a part where you swim in a beautiful crystal clear lake that washes away all your worries

2. Earth 

Chakra: Root 

Earth element is all about stability, feeling of safety and ability to act on what you want. The energy of the earth is masculine, but it is great to have it in balance. Many women who don't know how to live and behave other than in a masculine way have too much of this element. 

 

Symptoms of imbalance:

You have this element over the norm when:  

  • You try to control everything 
  • You get very irritated when even small thing doesn't go according to plan
  • You can't relax until something is finished and something is perfect 
  • People who dream too much irritate you 
  • You don't really understand what you want and struggle with your vision 
  •  

Not enough:

  • It is hard for you to finish what you've started
  • Your interests and focus changes very fast
  • It's hard for you to concentrate for long 
  • You dream a lot, but often don't act on it 
  • You often fly away and feel disconnected with the world

 

How to balance: 

 To add more of the energy of this element: 

1. Do an exercise to connect with Earth I mentioned above 

2. Put more plants on your desk or in your house

3. If you have stones or crystals, meditate with them 

4. Balance your root chakra 

To reduce:

Add water, try something from the ideas to strengthen water above :)
